No more Mr. Nice Guy.

For Becca Salt being a witch isn’t all magic. Too curvy and lonely, she spends her nights running a makeover service for demons, vamps, weres, and zombies who want to project a more human, normal side. Their goal? To get the babes without the authorities hunting them down like rabid dogs. Once Becca suppresses the worst of their beast, they’re on the hunt and gone.

Dating has been a definite bitch for Eric Diletto. Although he’s hot and hung, he’s also one of Cupid’s descendants. A god born to believe in courtship, courtesy, and all that other junk. Tired of women dumping him for the bad boys, Eric hires Becca to release his inner beast. Grrrr.

Two potions later, they’re crawling all over each other. With Eric’s newfound dominance, he’s definitely the man. And the god who intends to take Becca here, there, and everywhere. Who said sorcery and love wasn’t fun?

Warning: A witchdoctor’s nightmare. Contains potions with weird side effects, a sorceress with limited magical skills and a yearning heart, plus a minor god who wants to get down and dirty. Bad, bad boy.

Publisher's Note: This book has previously been release elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Totally Bound Publishing.

Freeing the Beast would be a perfect story for those who are looking for a paranormal romance with lots of raw passion and with a bit of Alpha male posturing. Nothing is held back between these two characters once the beast is released. I found the idea of a business that takes paranormal creatures and gives them makeovers in order for them to be more appealing to the mortals they want to impress to be most intriguing.

Becca’s company, From Crud to Stud, had been booming and to advertise her success, they were bringing in “success stories” for advertisement purposes. When her latest “success story” had been running late, Becca assumed the man that she saw arriving at her business was that client. He certainly looked the part but Eric had come to Becca Salt’s business because he needed help. He was sick of always being the good guy that finished last. As far as he was concerned, that time was over. He was determined that Becca was going to be the one who was going to help him by freeing his inner beast. This way the women he liked would not leave him for another “bad boy,” because he would be the bad boy that they all wanted.

Becca was smitten with Eric from the start, hmmm maybe in complete lust would be a better description. She had always wanted a man like him but she was used to having only brief contact with men who couldn’t wait to move on. She thought Eric was just perfect the way he was, but she had a business to run. He was a willing client who wanted to spend whatever it took to unleash his beast, so who was she to say no?! Although, she tried to refuse because honestly what he was asking was not something that her company normally did. There was also the little matter that she was not able to perform witchcraft, despite how hard she tried and what he needed required a spell or potion.

Undeterred by Becca’s misgivings, Eric was determined to get his way. He wanted to finally find a woman who wanted to settle down and for that he was convinced that he needed to let out his inner beast. He was also hoping that maybe Becca would be interested in him once he was changed because he found her most fascinating, and sexy, and he absolutely wanted to do naughty things to her. Working the potions did not go as planned at first and the result was more than either Becca or Eric expected, let’s just say it got really hot between them. Not just HOT but “oh, my” and the desire did not stop there, but was any of it real or was it all because of a little hocus pocus?

Freeing the Beast was hilarious and very naughty. I would definitely classify this book as erotic but it has a really sweet, funny, and tantalizing story to make it memorable. I quite enjoyed reading this story, it kept me laughing and the scenes between Becca and Eric were quite steamy. I can’t say that I am the biggest fan of Becca’s insecurities, very trite, but I did like her as a character. Overall, Freeing the Beast was an amusing and enjoyable paranormal romance and honestly with a title like “Freeing the Beast” would you expect it to be anything less than hot, hot, hot?
