November 2016 Wrap-Up:
November is a hard month to “wrap-up” since I did not have any goals set. I read a ton of books (50), finished up the Wobble Challenge (yay) and finally started reading books just for me (double yay). I will start this post with a mini-review of three books that I really enjoyed (and have not already reviewed or scheduled a review on) that I read in November.
I gave this one 4 stars. This was a nice read! I like author Lyndsay Sands writing style. There is attraction, mystery, crime, passion and always I am relatively mystified until the end. I swear she is the queen of red herrings. I have developed quite a fascination with this series and even though I started reading them for the Wobble Reading Challenge I am going to have to read them all!
Another 4 stars from me. It was so nice to read a book where there is no heart ripping out drama. This was a sweet little novella full of love, romance, and hot sexy times! It is told from alternating view points of the main protagonists and I love that! I always like to read the same story from two or more different view points. Really lets me get into the heads of the characters and sucks me into the story. Definitely a love story that will warm your heart from beginning to end.
I gave this one 3 stars. It did not follow any formulas that is for sure. It was slow going in the beginning and then daaaaang it got hot and steamy. Then it slowed down again and became a little about romance and more about an overall plot of disdain against Jo. I really did like the story and that it didn’t follow the typical historical romance formula. Lots of action and mystery with some sweet romance. The mystery is great, lots of read herrings and you are kept into suspense until the very end.
December 2016 TBR
December is going to be a very busy month for me. As far as my TBR books go I have already read and scheduled posts until December 11th. So this TBR is really for the last half of December. Let’s start with my TBR Shelf:
Some of those books have been on my shelf for months! For the month of December though I am planning on reading the following books:
In addition to my want to reads I have some up and coming ARC’s from NetGalley. For my TBR ARC’s:
What about my Indie love? I did not forget, 😍, love Indie Authors. Here are a few Indie books I am going to be reading:
Just keep in mind that this list is not everything I am reading, I have a few extras here and there and this is really only for the last half of December. If I have extra time there are plenty of books that I have that haven’t made it to my current TBR shelf. Anyhow that is it for December 2016. Next time we do this it will 2017!! Can you believe it?! I am so excited, love the New Year! It is a new year of new books all ready to be published!! So looking forward to many books in 2017!
